This tutorial is an introduction to the powerful text formatting tools available in CorelDraw.

CorelDraw has three basic types of pattern fills. The illustration to the left shows samples of 2 color, Full Color and Bitmap. With these three general types of fill, there is no pattern fill that cannot be used to fill any object.

In CorelDraw, you must select an object before you can apply any change. Your selection tells the program that you want an effect applied to that object. You can select one object, a group of objects, or the whole page, and whatever you apply to the selection will happen to every selected object.

Import is not to be confused with opening a file. When you import a file, you bring it into your current document.
